A new member of the metal mouth club

#1 Post by Rodger Dodger »

Just wanted to say hi. Ciome 6 September, I will be a braceface, top and bottom, for the first time.

A few months ago, while working at the computer, I felt something go snap in my mouth. The face of a lower incisor just came off. A trip to the dentist the next day resulted in a new face being bonded on. End of story, I thought! Recently I noticed that one tooth (the incisor next to it) had moved and I felt pressure on my top corresponding tooth as a result causing me not to be able to close my mouth fully.

I was encouraged to see an orthodontist as other teeth were crooked. I saw him today and he recommended full braces. I'm looking forward to the 6th as I have wanted a full metal mouth since I was a kid. The ortho asked about what kind of braces. I told him the more metal the better- hence my tag line.

Will keep the club posted on my progress or regress whichever the case might be.

By the way I am 55, single, straight (and looking) and am semi retired (I buy distressed real estate. rehab and resell)

More of this sage later.

Well, despite an uninvited guest called Katrina who darn near destroyed my area, I finally was braced on the 15th. Beautiful metal top and bottom.

All the better to kiss you beautiful women with out there in cyberspace. LOL

The ortho is an older guy who works fast and painlessly. He also charges less than the average as he doesnt have television spots, an office to rival the Ritz and full page color ads in the phone book!

I will post photos when I figure out how to get them in the site.

New Braces on Monday

#5 Post by Mslaurielynn »

I just got spacers in on Tuesday and they are driving me nuts. The braces are coming on Monday the 19th. Now I know why they want payment up front. Not sure if I'd go back - well, I would at least to get these spacers out.
