It seems to me that people with bite problems vs crooked teeth have the worst time with torture devices in their mouth or something painful being done. I hope you get some relief soon. I also have bite problems and my torturing......I mean bracing will happen on Friday.
07/14/14 - 4 spacers put in
07/25/14 - braces top and bottom put in minus 2 molar bands that they couldn't fit
9/11/14 - 2 spacers put in between the bottom back molars
9/19/14 - last 2 bottom molar bands in and all hooked up, new wire, started elastics too
10/14/14 - new square wire change and thick elastics
04/24/17 - braces removed!!!

Good luck for Friday pjade. I found the process of putting the braces on ok. But the next day everything felt so far beyond weird...i think braces are a pain in the neck but overtime you notice them less. Every time something moves something new happens. I found the weirdest thing was after a few days my teeth were wiggly....that was bizarre.

Super best wishes to you. Let us know how your get on.

Thanks! I always wondered if people felt like their teeth were going to fall out. Strange that they feel wiggly. The did tell me I might hear some popping and clicking.

I get a strange crackling on certain back teeth from time to time...kind of like a creak...doesn't hurt but freaked me out first time it happened. If you're a dork like me you'll find the wiggly thing a total blast! Lol...it's like being five again except no teeth fall.out and you don't get any $ from the tooth fairy!! :pinkbraces: :pinkbraces:

Oh darn, no money from the tooth fairy! We could all use some for the $$$ we spent trying to make our teeth look and work better. I wouldn't want my teeth to fall out to get the money though.

True...but if they fell out and you grew new ultra perfect teeth that didn't require any ortho.treatment, that would be a different story.

pjade1, good luck Friday! Hopefully you won't have any set backs. This last adjustment triggered a migraine. Boo!

Sage, I've gotten colors, but since it's only my bottom teeth no one can even see them. So I just got a opalish color this last time. I don't really mind if people notice, I may feel differently when I get the tops braced and it's more visible though.

A migraine. ....no fun. Hope you're feeling better now. Pjade how are you doing? I'm a bit mixed up because of time difference....it's my Saturday so maybe you're braced? How did it go and how are you feeling?

I notice a lot of people only get the top or bottom on to start with. Is this a teeth thing or just what happens in the states. I've not really seen this happening here,

For me it's a teeth thing. I have a severe overbite, so I have a retainer on top that doubles as a guard. I would just knock the brackets off right now from clenching if I got them at the same time.

I have had my braces on for more than a month now and been to 2 summer camps! :FeelSick: After I got them on, the first two hours or so they were fine< then they started to hurt... It was mainly my front-top teeth. I get them tightened today! Not real sure how it's going to feel, but my best friends say that the first tightening is the worst... I am totally dreading today!

I'm thinking about getting blue and purple. I would get blue and white, (school colors) but white gets stained easily. For my forst colors, I got red and white for Independence day, and now the white bands are a horrible yellow color! :yuck:

Wow you're quite brave going to summer camp with new braces. I do think that people who are still at school. Seem to handle it so much better than us 'oldies'! Lol. I like your up and coming colour choice...blue and purple look great together.

Good luck with your first adjustment. Mine was a breeze....i recently had my 5th and that was the worst so far...but nothing that you can't handle. I'm off for an adjustment and get brackets put on my very back tooth....each side top and.bottom next week...I'm having all green this time.

Good luck with.your adjustment. Let us know how it went.

Oh I understand now about getting only tops or bottoms on etc. What's with the clenching thing. I do it all the time and also this weird thing where I purse my lips together. I know I do it but I don't know why I do it and it's quite impossible to stop. When I look in the mirror when I'm doing it I look totally weird. I imagine I do it in public without knowing so that means people must see this weird look. Yikes!! LOL.

No idea, about the clenching. I do it in my sleep. I have some damage to the tops of my teeth where they are worn down because of it. A friend of mine clenches during the day, she ended up getting a guard to wear at work.

gracieg2002 - Have you tried a pearlish white? I have that now. I've had it for 2 weeks, and the color hasn't changed at all.
