What are your brace resolutions in 2015?

#1 Post by shredie79 »

1. Stop playing with and grinding on the button build ups on my lower rear molars.
2. Convince my orthodontist it is time (after 8 months) to remove said button build ups.
3. Wear my elastics more than once a week.
4. Exude more self confidence when flashing my metal with friends, family, strangers.
5. Floss

1) Get the braces off!
2) Stop grinding
3) Smile without hesitation

1. Continue wearing my elastic like a champ (class ii, right side only)
2. Stick with colored ligs on my bottom braces... even though they're completely unnecessary
3. Wear my retainers 24/7 when these things are removed in February/March

Mine are:-

Stop clinching my teeth
Enjoy the process as I am paying fortune to have my teeth fixed....when it is annoying or hurt am going to look at the start of my journey to remind me how far I have come
Eat better as sometimes braces impede on this

To try and stop looking for changes so often!
To become less self conscious about smiling with them.

1). To use my Acceledent every day (as much as humanly possible)
2). To brush my teeth (and therefore stop eating) more quickly after dinner
3). To figure out if the Rx toothpaste is irritating my gums and, if so, what to do about it
4). To see a periodontist about my gum recession...? Maybe...?
•Braces placed August 14, 2014
•Deband November 11, 2015
•Permanent retainer top and bottom
•Essix retainers top and bottom 16 hr/day for a year and then nightly afterwards.

I would like to not be so embarrassed by my braces. Figure out a better system for keeping my braces clean when eating out. Also get my spaces closed, and hopefully get them off by this time next year. :)

I had a wide toothy grin prior to braces. My teeth were fairly straight but jaw alignment off......I have developed a sly smirk these days!

I need to go back to flashing my pearly whites even though they are gleaming these days with a bit of metal, lol.

Patience! I feel like I look for changes much more frequently than I should.

The whole process is super exciting for me...and I know I'm on a long journey, so I don't even try to think about getting my braces off. In all honesty, I love them. I think that's a little weird.

Since I've only had mine 4 months I'm not sure. But also since I've had them twice before:
1. Gonna follow ortho's orders to a T.(eating, brushing, flossing etc.)
2. I thought I was the only one clenching, trying not to.
3. Try to smile more, at my age who cares what others think!
