Hi from an almost-30 y/o metal mouth

Hello!

I had jaw surgery in May and I'm still in braces.

I signed up today because I was at work and was almost in tears because of my braces. Not the first time and definitely not going to be the last.

I see a lot of adults in real life who has braces but I don't know them personally, and even my 26 year old sister has braces, but I don't feel like I can relate to anyone that I know. Not even to her.

She chose to have braces voluntarily but I have them because it's a compulsory part of the surgery.
