Hi Mel

Glad your teeth are not hurting too much. My wires have started to poke the sides of my mouth so i'm getting them trimmed tomorrow. BTW with your damon 3 do you have some wider pieces of wire in some spots - I have some around one of my front teeth. If so do you know why?

Hi there rage31, welcome to the site.

Yes, I'm pleased with the Damon 3's so far. There are pro's and con's though - do a search on this site. Feel free to ask any questions.

ajhuggie, hope the wire trimming went well. Did you ask about the wider pieces of wire? I have two thicker pieces between my two front teeth that don't meet. Is that what you mean, they are not around the teeth though just the wire in between. I was wondering what they were for too.

Hi, I thought I'd do an update.

Bottom braces put on on Friday and so far so good... a repeat of the top experience, but not so bad because I knew what was coming – no wanting to rip them out.

No biting at all though, as my teeth don't touch.

I've also got bite turbos on the back of my front teeth, but they are too high, so they are not working, just giving me a lisp. I'm building them up at night to stop me biting off the braces as one bracket does touch a tooth.

I have a question there is another posting on bite turbos and someone mentioned that the gums actually move - is this true? I realize I don't actually really understand what is happening, can anyone recommend where there is a bit more detailed info on the process?

Also, Lucy the waterpic is great - especially now with the bottoms on.
