You are soooooooooo lucky that you never experienced severe pain!!! I'm envious. I wasn't so lucky and I'm not a baby when it comes to pain.

Now I'm fearing the worst when I have my first adjustment in a month. I hope it's not as bad as when I first got them on!

I agree with the rice thing, BAD idea, I was picking out rice forever, well not really...but you should have seen what fell in the sink when I used my waterpik........ewwww, there was so much rice falling out of my mouth I thought I was going to start speaking Chinese!

been busy havent had time to post ....2 1/2 weeks now since Ive been braced...I have to say that eating has been a challenge ..not so much pain but it just feels soooo weird !I feel as if food doesnt taste the same or something and having stuff get stuck everywhere is a pain ...you cant just "dislodge "it with your tongue ... lol ..the things we take for granted .... My teeth kind of feel numb ....I never had to take any pain meds at all ,thats a good thing ....had a wire poking my cheek the first week but a few days of wax and nothing is tearing my mouth up ..so far so good ...I have a hard time laughing because my lip pulls up over the brackets and it irritates me ..thats getting better ...its only been a few weeks but honestly ..its not that bad ....!!!!!

Waterpiks are great!!!!! however it may sound strange but right after I use it my mouth feels really "dry" cant explain the sensation any other way .Lots of new sensations happening here !!!I have a tooth touching another one that never did before ,it hurt a little at first but now I just feel pressure ...everyone is different ..I was so afraid of what would happen when I got the braces on ...it hasnt been bad so far at all ...next wire change ..we will see....
