Hi there!
I forgot I had a thread over here!
Thanks for the compliment. The changes back during that stage in my treatment were so dramatic and exciting. It's all been more subtle over the last year, but still, my teeth are on the road to freedom.
Just in case you're curious, here's the progress comparison now:
March 2005, brace day:

January 2007, 22.5 months in braces:

skyclad-- You're right, I can't wait!
kiwi-- I had forgotten about this thread too. The lig color thing has been about the most entertaining part of the orthodontic experience. The only thing I'll miss about braces is not being able to change my teeth's color to match my wardrobe. lol.
As for the ortho thing, well, I've decided to let it go. My eyes are on the prize. These elastics seem to be closing up the bite, and I'm so close, I'm just not going to worry about it. At least one ortho did most of the treatment. I don't care who takes these puppies off, as long as they do it in a timely manner!
Thanks for always keeping up with my treatment. I always follow yours, even when I don't comment. Us oldtimers (orthodontically speaking, of course) gotta stick together!

Hiya Nanny!
Well, they're not quite perfect. There's a slight bit of bite that needs to be closed on the left, which isn't visible from that picture. They're pretty close though...and they're a million times better than they used to be, that's for sure!
I don't have a d-day, as of yet. I was told at my last appointment that I was just about done, and that they just wanted to close up some gaps, so I'm guessing before summertime I should be living it up in brace-free land.
I'm sure your teeth will be great. It's always hard in the beginning. I had those awful fangs for 10 years before I went to get this taken care of. When I finally got the braces, I felt like it was going to be the longest process of my life, but really, the two years flew by and the progress came fast. I don't even remember what it felt like to get up in the morning and look at myself in the mirror with those teeth. You'll get here.
I'll be sure to keep up with your story..post often. It helps!
