Hi Brunoise,
You must be so excited now that your b-day is getting closer and closer. I, too, am a braces newbie (my "b-day" was Feb 6 and I've posted some pics)... I wish I knew about this forum before I got my braces because I, too, would have insisted on Unitek brackets. Oh well, can't cry over spilled milk...
Anyway, good luck with your treatment and post those pics!

Tomorrow am, lower brackets!
Can't believe it is finally here. I have a nine am appt and then a full day of work so it should be interesting.
I will post pics as soon as I can.

Everything went great and now I have some new jewelry in my mouth. I was able to be in and out in an hour and after three hours, no rough spots or pain at all. My brackets seem really small --- I thought they would be bigger.

So far so good!
I will see if I can manage a couple pics this evening.

I can't believe its already been three weeks!

Can I say off the bat that I love my braces? LOL
So far no pain, I feel pressure sometimes, that's really all. Bottom teeth are moving into a straight line ----hope to have pics at some point. the one canine tooth that started off a lot lower than the other one is slowly coming up to level the other one. the tooth that was behind the others is almost in line. The best part is that my back molar that was tipping toward my tongue is leveling out. I am amazed!

Haven't used any wax or salt water, there has been no need so far. Flossing was a bit of a challenge but I am getting much faster. I go back on Wed, 5/16. Hopefully we will talk about upper extractions and upper brace date.

Just wanted to check in briefly----don't have easy access to internet at the moment.
