Hi Everyone,
My name is Maria - i'm 17 years old from the U.K

I only got my braces yesterday - top and bottom, and my estimated treatment time is 18 months.

The bottom ones really hurt, my teeth feel like they are falling out and the brace is rubbing against my bottom lip and causing sores - the wax doesn't help much either!

Also, i'm getting fed up of rice pudding and soup. Will I be able to eat normally soon?

I can't wait to get them off, although I must admit I actually quite like them in a weird sort of way!
No pain, no gain I guess!

Can't wait to get a perfect smile

Hi Maria,
Welcome to the board. Congratulations on getting braces!! What are you being treated for?

Don't worry, things will get better soon. You will be able to eat more normally soon so you won't likely have to be on a soft diet for too long.

Hello... thanks for the welcome!

I have quite a bad overbite, and some crowding going on.
Had to have 4 extractions before I had them put on too.

Eating is getting easier already
