Hey all! I posted in the other board and then found this one lol! I'm a 23 yr old teacher from South Aussie. My teeth have always been crooked, and the dentist I went to as a kid assured my parents that they would straighten by themselves (yeah right!

) I had thought about braces because I hate my teeth, refuse to smile and show my teeth in photos, but it wasn't until my wisdom teeth started coming through and I saw an ortho that I really thought about getting braced. So the last month has been fun with Wisdom teeth being taken out and 4 other extractions. What with that and the separators and now the braces I've pretty much been on a liquid diet lol!
It was really funny going to work the day after getting braced. The kids were fascinated. One little one come up to me and asked if I knew I had braces on lol! I replied that no, I just woke up with them on that morning hehe. On the upside a year 4 girl who is very shy was happy that I have braces because she has been told that she needs to get them on at the end of this year and sharing the experience with me is making it a little easier and less scary. I guess that’s one of the positives from this experience, I will be able to set an example for the kids I work with.
Ok rambled on enough now! hehe
