Embracing The Future- Updated

Okay well today was my b-day. Unfortunately I only got the top put on though. My bite is screwed up and they are gonna have to correct the top first. My top teeth would have been resting on my bottom braces.

So we are looking at my next 2 appointments before the bottoms are put on.

I have a wonderful dentist and his assistant was off the chain. It was less painful than I thought. It seems the spacers didn't do a good job because the bands hurt, it was if i didn't have spacers at all. My teeth are really crowded and it was tight back there.

Well I have the metal braces with purple ligs.

I am still excited about the whole thing, but a little disappointed about only having just the tops.

Okay here are my pics:

Hi

Thanks for your respons on my thread. You have a great smile and are looking great with those metal brackets. Glad to see your journey have begun.
Unfortunally mine may take another turn. I'm not very happy with the technique my ortho is going to use. But last word isn't said yet so it might turn out good after all.

KK:

I see that you had your upper braces but on first also. I am very hopeful that I will be getting he bottoms on soon. Maybe not as soon as you but I'm anxious.

My 16 yr old son, keeps asking me to smile and my 13 yr son was like wow you are gonna be even more beautiful. My boyfriend is also supportive. He liked them, especially the purple ligs (one of his favorite colors)

Thank you for all the encouragement. :)

I am hungrier than usual. I think it's a mind thing though. I had soup, oatmeal, clam chowder, tried to eat some bread and cut up hot dogs (my son cooked 4 me so I had to eat a little) and chicken salad.

My first night was okay. I finally got the flossing down, didn't want to disturb the archwire. Brusing went okay. I sleep like a baby.

So far day 2 is going smoothly. I'll Keep you posted

Thank you so much. I can't wait to see the new me. I am really excited about this endeavor. I can't believe I actually have them on. My 16 yr old is so supportive. He is like "smile 4 me" all the time and that is really encouraging.

Well I had my 1st adjustment today and surprisingly it went very well. I still have the purple ligs but most importantly I get my bottom braces on at my next appointment on November 28, 2006.

I am so looking forward to finally being fully braced. Haven't taken any pictures. I am waiting until right before I get the bottoms on to take any. Also will update with pics after the bottoms are on.

Patiently Waiting
