#1 Post by flowrs04 »

FINALLY I AM OFFICIALLY BRACED. SO I HAD MY APPOINTMENT YESTEDAY. I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE ABOUT AN HOUR IT WAS MORE LIKE TWO. THE WHOLE PROCESS WAS OK. THE ONLY THING THAT WAS UNCOMFORTABLE WAS WHEN THEY WERE PUTTING ON THE MOLAR BRACKETS. IT WAS SORE FROM THE SPACERS. I HAVE A FULL SET OF METAL BRACKETS TOP AND BOTTOMS. MY ORTHO WANTS TO SEE ME IN TWO WEEKS TO PLACE THE EXPANDER ON TOP. I AM A LITTLE SORE NOT THAT MUCH. I WOULD LOVE SOME ADVICE. SINCE IM NEW I WANT TO KNOW THE THINGS I SHOULD AND SHOULDN'T DO. PLEASE HELP!
I WILL BE POSTING SOME PICS SOON.

Hi flowrs, and welcome to this great board.

Good advice from Tschott (sorry mate, it's too much to remember the rest).

I'd do everything you always ever did, in other words, don't let the braces cramp your lifestyle.

You'll find plenty of support here. Good luck with your journey.

Congrats. :) I got braced yesterday. This forum has a lot of useful information to help you and everyone is really nice! :)
I have been using tons of lip balm, rinsing with warm saltwater and I am loving the dental wax!! I put it on everything before bed! :)

Hi guys well today I had my appointment. I had the expander placed in. Im just trying to get adjusted to it. Im talking a little funny. My Dentist told me it would take a couple of days to get the hang of it. I ate some rice and chicken and got fustration because all the food was getting caught between the expander So I gave up. I guess I'm going to get stuck with shakes and soup for a while.
