Hello everyone:

I think this is a wonderful site. Reading all your stories has helped me make a decision that I have been putting off for many, many years. I am finally getting braces. :)

I am 37 yr old with mild crowding in the top and bottom, Class 2 overbite, a few of my teeth are overlapping the other ones (apparently a result of age and space issues in my mouth and I thought teeth stop moving in your teens).

Yesterday, I went to the Orthodontist and had the xrays and molds done and now have to wait until late February for my final consult. It is funny, it took so long to make this decision and now I am impatient waiting for everything to get started

At this point, the Orthodontist thinks I might need one extraction, full braces for 2 years. He said we could do it without the extraction but due to the limited space in my mouth, my overbite would look worse.

Looking forward to sharing this journey with all of you!

Hi WiredforSound and welcome

I'm 42 and put the decision off for years and years so I can understand where you're coming from. I also got impatient to start once I had made up my mind.

Good luck with your final consult in Feb and getting started.

Regards
Joney
