Hi Victor and welcome to archwired. They do take a bit of getting used to be you become acustomed to them pretty quickly and it gets easier. Use wax if the brace is uncomfortable in places, I found it a lifesaver especially at first.

Thanks for all the advice! Reading other people's stories, I don't seem to be in bad shape. Will keep you posted.

These pictures show 5 days treatment:

:-1 Hi Victor,
Good pictures, will be watching for your changes. You are off to a high tech start from my untrained eyes. Hope your progress is fast and relatively easy.

Thank you very much! And I swear my teeth are not that yellow!

And here is a clearer picture of my teeth (since I have now discovered how to use the macro feature on the camera):

Hey Victor! Those are great photos and I look forward to seeing your progress. :D I've been braced around the same time as you and getting used to the metal in my mouth!

Hi, BritGirl!

The best advice that was given to me (and I hereby give to you) is rinse several times a day with warm salt water (I personally like the temperature warm-to-hot)... Good luck with your treatment! What is your projected treatment time?

Hey Victor

Yes, I realised how important it is to do the the warm salt water rinses this past weekend
What is your projected treatment time?
I was told 14 months but I'm hoping (dreaming) it may be less! How about you?

Great pics, Victor. I'll have to practice my technique so I have a complete set from beginning to end of treatment.

Thanks chicklets!

If I can just provide my 2-cents worth... If you are wanting to get veneers after braces come off (you had mentioned you wanted "chicklet teeth") you'll want to do some research about which veneers looks more natural..

Because after all, you'll want people to say "nice teeth!"

and not "nice veneers".

Just my own humble opinion.

No veneers for me thankfully. Once my braces are off, I think I'll have the chicklets I've been dreaming of. :D
