Revised Consultation Appointment

Not really sure this is worthy of a post but my first initial consult which was due for this Wednesday has been cancelled due to double-booking at the orthos.
This may sound a little silly but I was really looking forward to it as now that I have made the decision to go and get something done about my smile I just want things to start immediately.
Anyway, I will now have to wait until Friday 13 April which I hope is not some sort of sign.
I have also had a good chat with my wife and have told her that I expect to be wearing braces soon. This is may sound a very obvious thing to do but I found that actually saying out loud "I am happy to get braces" was a big step and once I had said it I knew I was 100% happy with my decision.
Over the last few days I have also noticed that my jaw movement appears a little strange as rather than a straight up and down movement, my bottom jaw moves slightly down to the left before going straight down- is this normal and is there somewhere I can find out more about bites and what makes a perfect bite ?
After being very impressed and encouraged by the responses to previous posts, I have to say that I think this site is fantastic and a wonderful help. Being able to "talk" about what is going on to people in similar situations is very very useful indeed.
Many thanks
Mike
