Metal Mouth Message Board

I've been in braces for about 5 months, but just came across this site today! I should have gotten braces when I was about 11 years old, but I absolutely reFUSED to get them. So here I am, 26 years old and in braces. My teeth started getting more and more crowded in my early 20's and it wasn't until this past year that I found out the problem. I had 6 wisdom teeth! I had to have those removed in addition to 1 permanent tooth on the bottom row in order to get braces. My ortho basically said that I had a 1 gallon mouth and 5 gallons worth of teeth!

I'm seeing major changes in my alignment and bite already and am actually looking forward to the adjustment appointments now...I have one this Monday! I just look at them as another step at getting these things off and being able to chew gum again! haha

Anyways...just wanted to say hey and that I'm glad I finally found this place.

Thanks for the welcome and the compliments! I checked out your links and I might have to get that cookbook sometime! haha I need to figure out how to work more than just a microwave and a grill until I get married.
