Been viewing this site for some months now, it's been a real help, so thanks to everyone whose contributions made me feel this wasn't a mad step to take.

First visit to orthodontist (this time round !) was back in October.

I seem to be moving at a different pace to everyone else. Spacers went in 2 months ago and I expected to be fully braced up within a week but this wasn't the case.

Got molar bands a week after the spacers but nothing more for 6 weeks.

At long last, had my top brace fitted last tuesday. Not nearly as bad as I thought and have managed to keep it completely hidden under my top lip.

Have just been able to manage solid food, after nearly a week, but now the bottom one goes on tomorrow !! So back to soup again and chocolate buttons ...
