Braces on in two days!

#1 Post by RakudaErin »

I'm actually really excited about them, which may be strange. However, they're going to be a lifesaving distraction, as my fiance has to go back to his country until December. Not that I'll really need much of a distraction, what with this being my last semester of grad school, though!

Anyway, has anyone gotten mistaken for being younger while wearing them?

I'm often told that I look kind of young (to the point where clients often don't take me seriously!), so I was wondering if this has been a problem for anyone?

I only wish it were true that they made everyone look younger. On some people they do. Good luck!

Thanks!

My bite feels weird already! These spacers have moved all of my teeth around. Now the spaces between my molars are so big that the spacers keep falling out and I have to keep putting them back. I hope I don't swallow any in my sleep...

I'm excited for you - your b-day is almost here!! Best wishes with everything! It's a great thing. I'll be getting mine in three weeks.

I wouldn't worry about them making you look younger. You're lucky to have a youthful look. I know it's a bit of a drag now, but will be a nice benefit to you for many years ahead : ) All that matters is that you are professional and do your work well and people will respect you for that.

Sorry to hear about the temporary distance between your and your beau, I hope the time goes by quickly for you - I'm sure it will.

They're on, pretty, and shiny.

A little tenderness, but not nearly as uncomfortable as the spacers were.

Yet.

I am cautiously optimistic.

Decoder ring to arrive soon. Stop.

Thank you for your concern, Kiwi.

My orthodontist gave me a packet of instructions.

Right now, despite the tenderness, I absolutely adore them so much that my attitude toward them isn't really a problem.

I less-than-three shinies and am quite happy to have shinies on my teeth.

I'm actually coordinating outfits and jewelry to match my shiny-tooth-jewelry.
