What should I expect with Pendulum Appliance?

Hi... I am 26 and in the full process of braces and all things dental related. I have been to the dentist or orthodontist at least once a week since the first week of March. Fillings, and root canals, and crowns... and now braces.

I survived last weeks experience of spacers in my molars... I now have these fun metal bands glued to my molars - that are rubbing the inside of my cheeks raw - in preparation for my Pendulum Appliance that will be put in place on Monday. I've been trying to research and understand what to expect with the appliance and was wondering if anyone had any advice? My orthodontist has not told me how long I wear the appliance before I get the braces on either, is there a general time?

And I already long for the day I can eat normal again... oatmeal is getting old fast

hey, im right there with you. I've also been in and out of the dentist for the past month or so, and now im finally getting braces. the metal molar bands suck don't they. are you getting canker sores from them? hope all is well on your journey to braces.

I'm fully underway in my journey. I have the pendulum in and it sucks I hate that I can't chew anything harder then bread... oh well... I go in next month to get my braces... I suppose I'll survive Good luck with yours.
