I'm 39 and just got my braces 1/26. I have a very deep bite, which adds to my grinding problem. Hence, my bottom front six teeth look like baby teeth, and the braces are touching the gum.

I don't have much pain, just a constant sensation of food in my teeth. I expect I will have more pain when I get the spacers and bands in Feb. and March.

Glad to be among good company!

well don't worry about what is coming down the tracks, just give yourself a pat on the back for starting!!

Hi Abbey70!

Congrats on getting started with your braces. The first step is the hardest - making the decision and jumping in - the rest will be pretty easy, even the spacers and the bands. And if you do have any concerns along the way this forum will offer lots of support!
