I read archewired beforehand, i was all prepared, things went as i had read, and now, 4 months later, I think I am going crazy. Symptoms I did not have for the first 3 months that I have now- dry mouth, metallic taste, sensation of razors in my mouth when i know nothing is scratching or cutting me, feeling of ... not pain but as best as i can describe it irritation-aggravation-anxiety inside my teeth (only on one side).
I am starting to wonder if i should keep going (and its only supposed to be for one year-bottom teeth only.)
Any advice out there?
P.S. Can I use a CPAP with braces on the bottom and a night guard (for grinding) on the top? I am being prescribed one soon.
New and confused

Hello,
I may be wrong but i guess you (or your brain, body or whatever) could somehow consider what in inside your mouth, braces, as a foreign object. In fact, it's possible you didn't integrated them.
There is an example which explain the contrary phenomenon well:
Imagine you walk in mud. You will have mud on your shoes and they will weight a lot. But if you continue to walk for a moment, you will become accustomed to the mud and even if the weight is still there, it will not be a problem anymore. Eventually you will even forget the mud and the weight.
When you integrate things to this point, one phenomenon happens when you remove your shoes, you will feel your feet and they will be very very light. It often happend when you wear ice skates for some hours.
I hope you get the picture and the idea about what you are not (possibly) doing.
To get back to braces, if you think/feel I am somehow true, a solution (which may or may not not works for you (it still can give a general way to go)) could be to train yourself to consider your braces the same way you consider your hairs; take them, feel them as a part of yourself, simply. Remenber your braces are a friendly measure so act friendly toward this measure.
Hope this idea can help, but sorry if it doesnt (my idea generally works for me but not so easily for others).
Apologize my grammar *sigh*
