Hey all!
I'm a 25 year old female who had ceramic top and bottom braces fitted in April this year...
I just had my second band change last night and my Ortho also took out my right baby canine in preparation to pull down the adult using a traction chain...
I'm in heaps of pain today because he also had to fit metal ties to my two top brackets (second teeth round) due to them being so crooked and the arch wire not sitting correctly in the bracket...
Initially my Ortho has told me 24 - 36 months, but then keeps telling me my teeth are moving faster than expected, so I'm holidng out hope that they will take less time than expected.
Even with all the pain right now I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end!!!
3rd month in....

Hi!
I'm in the last week of my treatment (since March '08) and I remember the first few adjustments, they're definitely rough. I also had a baby tooth (canine) removed like you and it took a long time and pain for the adult tooth to come down. Even though I didn't want braces to begin with, they were more of a necessity, I am really pleased with my results and it is very much worth it Hang in there! Keep up the positive attitude and time will fly.
