Hello, I joined a couple days ago and have already posted a few times but figured I would introduce myself. Im 26 years old, and just braced exactly a week ago. I got 4 extractions done the same day so it has not been a fun week. Im a wife, mama, and student, need braces to fix crowding and an overbite. Im in so much pain and found this forum as a support group. Im glad I can talk to others who know what Im going through. I hope to start a story thread soon, and take some pictures. Glad to be here

Hi Javamama - you & I got braces the same day, so I'm with you....good luck with your journey. It can only get better - that's what I keep telling myself!!

I"m a wife Mom soon to first time Grandma or Nana. Can't wait and I too, have had braces for about 7 months and two teeth on the top and two on the bottom out. So it has been just a grand time for me too, I still eat the soft food, nothing hard. This site is such great help for me with any thing I ask someone also has an answer. Good Luck to you with the journey into brace world. I have a appt for an ajustment tomorrow and bracket put backet and lots of questions for my ortho.

Sandpiper-I will will have to keep in touch with you on this journey. I keep telling myself this will all be worth it in the end. About how long will you have them on? My estimated time is 30 months.

Kinda Nervous-Congrats on being a grandma soon and good Luck with your adjustment! How are your gaps from the teeth that were extracted? I cant wait till they close, its such a pain with food getting caught in there.
