Hello all!

I am so glad I have found this site as it is a great source of encouragement to me! I hope eventually I will be able to give back and encourage others as well. I had my consult today, and I was told I am eligible for braces! I am very excited. We discussed my options and I am going for upper and lower ceramics. My treatment time is estimated at 24 months. The first appointment is 90 minutes where I will get spacers, and uppers/lowers put on, and my second appointment is one week later. I am nervous and excited, and I am looking forward to sharing my progress with you all. I feel like this forum has helped push me in the right direction to go ahead with it. It is a comfort knowing I am not the only adult doing this.

oh whoops- i just saw that- think i'm still a bit out of it after my extractions!

Wow, ceramics on the bottom too? That's cool! My ortho will not do ceramics on the bottom because of potential damage.

I just got Damon ceramic top and metal bottom. Thank goodness I hide my lowers most of the time!

Ceramics on the bottom would be nice.. in a previous consult I asked for 'em on the bottom too, and they gave in.. unfortunately, I didn't get braces at that time, so now I'm stuck with metal. I'm 27 & just got mine too. The end result is all going to be worth it. Kinda sucks, but it's kind of exciting too Good luck!
