I have this problem too! I did some extractions recently and today I noticed that the area of my gums around where both extracted teeth used to be are a lot lighter and I have no idea why or if this is normal!
Please if someone out there in Internetland knows what this is or why it happened please tell us!

And that is why I'm a bit worried.

You'd better call up your dentist I guess? Best to be cautious

Seems like the very tip of my gums where they touch my teeth are turning white as well.. since I got my braces on.. I don't know if they were always like this, or if I'm just noticing it now since I just got them on and I'm constantly staring at them, but I've been starting to get paranoid too. Been reading about all the gum disease and problems that can go wrong with braces, so I'm starting to get a bit worried.. if you find out the answer, let us know!

Well my gums went back to normal some time agoso I figured it had something to do with my extractions cuz it was the gums around the extraction sites that were weird. They're fine now so I guess it resolved itself.
