Anyone switch doctors at end of treatment?

#1 Post by Moty »

My time estimate was 17 months. I'm already paid off, and two months overdue, and counting, time-wise. To me my teeth looked better five months ago. It seems to me now, that with each adjustment, my teeth look worse.....more like they were to start with. I'd really like to get another ortho to finish the final adjustments. Anyone done that? Think I'm going to call and see if they will consider. My bite isn't comfortable either.

Treatment is not always gonna go perfectly, so slight delays are to be expected. You should talk with your ortho about this and see what he has to say about it. You can find another one to finish, but you need to know this one is not ok for you anymore znd that you don't rush. It's a delicate situation anyway. Keep us posted and best of luck

UPDATE: I have decided to stay with my ortho. He is in the final stages of "fine tuning", and I finally see some changes that are positive. I will go back in a month for another adjustment, then the next visit will be the de-bracing. It's been a long haul, and I will be SOOOOO glad to get them off.
