I thought I'd tell my story like everyone else. I'm finally taking the plunge and will be getting braces June 28th, metal on uppers and lowers. I'm actually excited becuase I know someday I'll have fabulous teeth!!
I will be wearing braces for 20 months and hopefully the ortho. is right about the time! I have to get 4 teeth pulled June 17th and recently I got my teeth cleaned and still have to go in one more time to finish the cleaning. (It's been about 5-8 years last time I got my teeth cleaned.!) It's sad that I didn't go to the dentist before regularly before because I was so embaressed about my teeth. They're pretty crowded but I never had the money to get braces before but I finally paid off my car so it's now and never.
I'll keep everybody posted with pics next month! Wish me luck!!

If you insert the link within the [img]link[/img] tag, it should embed the image within the actual body of the message, so you can see it without clicking on the links. But the Links are okay.
Congratulations on deciding to get braces, I know what you meant about not going to the dentist to get your teeth cleaned because you were embarrassed with them. It was true to me also. Good luck!!
