Braces at 50
Hi I am Mike 50 liveing in the UK and had braces fitted yesterday at my local hosital under the NHS prior to Orthognathic surgery for a 9mm underbite and also a 7mm cross bite so will have surgery on both jaws ,I have all metal braces with 2 elastics and will get more as time goes by prior to surgery in 14 months time .As I have surgical brackets which have a hook on every bracket which is causing lots of pain at the moment but sure my mouth will soon harden up and get used to them
Re: Braces at 50
Hi Mike. Sounds painful. Good luck with your journey and keep us updated on how it all goes. Hope you are feeling better soon!
