Hi All,
I just got my clear braces on yesterday to get used to them before I go on vacation to see one of my best friends then will have Wilckodontics performed when I get back to help speed up the time and hopefully have more stable results over the long term.
My mouth is sore today, and chewing is really not so fun right now. I have an open bite and my lower teeth are a bit forward. I am looking at about 10+ months or so in braces based on a similar case the Doc had. I am going to try and keep an updated story for ya all.

Hey
Welcome to the board. I look forward to hearing about your progress!
The pain can be a real bummer
I'm still getting pain 10 days in. Not as unbearable as the start thank goodness. Hope yours eases soon.

Hey there,
Just wondering if you went ahead with your Wilckodontics treatment. I am seriously considering it to shorten down my brace time but also a bit nervous on some of the feedback I have heard. None of the ortho's I saw actually bring it up as an option until I mention so obviously not too common place. I was hoping to get it done under general anaesthetic but apparently it is recommend to have it under local so that you can alert periodontist if they go too near the roots
sound painful.
Anyway hoping you can share your experience.
Cheers

Hey there Askme, I'm also scheduled for WIlckodontics in December on my top jaw only instead of SARPE. Following that I will have a palate expander for six months.
I am having the procedure done under heavy sedation - not general anesthetic. The Dr says I won't feel anything, and if I hear anything, I won't care. I don't think I could handle being awake as I have read other unpleasant stories from people who went through it under local and it seems awful.

Hey Dantocanda.
I am due to see a Periodontist in a couple of weeks so will find out more about the sedation options. I have been considering getting Incognito braces but if I go the Wilko route I think I would do ceramics given the shorter period of treatment time. Did you here of anyone on this community having went through the procedure? Seems a lot of people considered it but have not had it.
I am going travelling at Xmas so will probably try and do it in January. It would be for both upper and lower. Hopefully we can both spread the good word about the experience
