Has your ortho got perfect teeth? I know of a couple of orthos who could do with some of their own medicine. Perhaps it is is similar to how a painter's house is never painted.

My ortho has great teeth. He's told me though that he had braces when he was younger. He did say once that he flosses but his wife doesn't though. I thought that was a little bit funny.

Not only does my ortho have amazingly perfect teeth, he is a perfectionist and one of the top orthos in all of Mexico.
My best friend who is also a dentist and currently an oral maxillary resident recommended my ortho to me and he himself is looking to get his bite fixed by my ortho once he finishes his schooling cus his teeth were done by a dental student -_-;; Best friend has straight teeth but his chin sticks out often and almost always in every picture he takes.
Other 3 dentist friends also have super straight teeth and perfect-looking bites. I myself am hoping for as near to pefect as possible results

Yes, I know several orthos who have crooked teeth but I don’t mind, it’s their choice. If it was something serious then I’m sure they would fix it

My ortho has straight teeth but not those Hollywood veneers type of teeth.
His teeth are natural and when I got my braces off, me and my ortho took a picture together and my teeth were much whiter than his even right after I debond which I was extremely happy about.

Overall it really depends on the ortho too, age, status, etc.

I have never noticed my orthos teeth to be honest, which is weird because when I first got my braces I became obsessed at looking at other peoples teeth. I'll have to try and see if I can see what they are like at my next appointment.

This topic has got me curious... Does anyone think that if an ortho doesn't have straight teeth (never had a brace) that they might not be such a perfectionist when it comes to their patients end results?
From my personal experience of having a brace I know it takes a lot of our time, money and commitment so therefore I don't question people being picky about their teeth towards the end of their treatment even if I think they're teeth look perfect ... But maybe someone who has crooked teeth and has never had a brace themselves might not understand in the same way ... To them the other persons teeth would look perfect compared to their own. If that even makes sense.

My ortho has perfect teeth..and it seems that everyone in his office always has braces or a retainer on.

My ortho's teeth are pretty straight but not perfect, so I suspect they may have shifted at some point in his life? (He's in his 60s). His staff all have perfect teeth though!

Interesting that you started this thread: A friend of mine actually decided NOT to go with a certain ortho because he had bad teeth himself and she felt that he wasn't "walking the talk"

Mine has a great smile, but at the same time he doesn't blind you when he smiles. His staff all have great smiles and some have had braces as an adult too, which was encouraging!

My ortho is 56 years old and he is wearing braces. I think he is really great!
I said i thought i was too old, but then he smiled (a wide smile) and i noticed his braces. He said "Look at me: noone is too old".
I liked that.

YES! It was the first thing I noticed when I was introduced to him. He has amazingly straight/perfect teeth. I seriously hope he can work his magic on mine...LOL

Mine had lovely teeth, it's a few years ago now but if I remember correctly she did tell me that she'd had braces.

my orthodontist has gorgeous teeth!!!!!!!! He's good looking too though-which almostmade me choose someoneelse!!!!!!! ha
