Very nearly done!

I've lurked here a bit over the past couple of years, but haven't actually posted until tonight.
My name is Staci. I've always been self-conscious about my crooked teeth, so in August of 2010, at the age of 39, I finally started doing something about it. I have ceramics on my upper teeth (from August 2010), and metal on my lowers (December of 2010). There have been ups and downs, but I was surprised how quickly I saw results. I still find myself touching the backs of my lower front teeth with my tongue, because I can't believe they aren't completely overlapping anymore.
I am now in the full strength wires, with the thinner ligature wires wrapped around all of my brackets. The only thing we are working on now is getting the proper alignment between my upper and lower teeth, using elastics. This has been the most frustrating point, because I look at my teeth and think, "but... they're straight!" My next appointment in February is strictly to check the elastics and alignment, and it looks like I may be down to the wire, pun intended.
I've been calling it "the great nacho countdown begins".
