Damon clear at 26 consultation and put on same day

So yesterday I went in for my consultation for Damon clear. I was joking with the orthodontist saying too bad I can't just get them today and much to my surprise he did it. I am pretty self conscious still about smiling. I wonder how long it will be before it doesn't feel completely alien to have them in my mouth? They also put this blue stuff on my back molars so I can't bite down all the way and that has been worse then my braces so far because how am I supposed to chew up my food if my back molars don't touch! I am so excited about getting them on and I wonder how long it is before you notice any changes?

You are not. Life as you know it is over. Resistance is futile. You will be assimulated into the collective like the rest of us.

Being able to eat is not the orthodontists concern most of the time. Heck except for a bout a month or two about 12 years ago , my back molars havent touched at all. You will adjust. You just have to be more careful/selective about what you eat.

That was fast. It didn't give you a chance to question anything.

I advise cutting things up small when you eat them. I'm 3 years into splint and braces therapy and cutting things up has become my normal. I'll be celebrating when my bite is "normal" again and I don't have to worry about stuff like that anymore.

I have the Damon Clears on my upper 10. They didn't have the clear lowers when I got mine on. I've been very happy that I chose to go with the Damons. I hope you are too.

Welcome and wow that was fast about getting your braces on!

I just got my upper braces on last week and my lower ones on today! I had extractions, spacers and everything and it took me like 3 months to finally be fully braced up! it was a LONG wait lol. but hopefully worth it in the end

I feel like an alien at work and like everyone is looking at me weird (the people who don’t know that i have them still). Everytime I smile i feel like they are these huge big things sticking out for the world to see. I have traditional metal ones and it is hard to get used to but I am doing ok so far

Yes, eating is a challenge and I don’t think the orthodontists think that we eat. Lol. Mine has advised that I try to start chewing on things to reduce the pain, but I think they can go fly a kite cos it is SO SORE, but i might try tomorrow.

Wow, that really was fast! I wish mine had gone on that quickly!!! I had to wait 6 weeks to get mine on, it was torturous! Glad you're all braced up and beginning

That's some fast progress. I think I had about 6 weeks in between my initial consult and the bonding day.

A consult and braces on the same day, that's extremely quick! How have your braces been so far? I hope to book a consultation for the beginning of next month myself
