Just started second round of braces!

Hi everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself.

I had braces as a teenager but never wore my retainers . I'm having to go through another round, and this time, I have Invisalign for my top arch and metal brackets for my bottom arch. Treatment plan is now 8 months of Invisalign and 12-18 months of brackets. I can't wait to have perfectly straight teeth!

Congratulations! Why are you headed for round 2? I just joined today and I am on day 2 of metal braces. Was it much extra to go invisalign for half your treatment? Invisalign was going to be almost 10k for me! I decided not to go that route since I may or may not have had flared teeth at the end.

I'm also on round two of braces. I had them the first time when I was 11-14 years old but for some reason the municipal orthodontist didn't fix my bite, only straightened my teeth. Quite frustrating... Now I'm 21 and got full braces again, thank god they're clear ones though and the treatment will only last 1,5 years in total!
