How many teeth have brackets?

I only ask because my brackets only go as far back as my first molars, there are no brackets on my second molars (wisdom teeth haven't erupted fully so not much to fix bracket too). The orthodontist has fashioned a powerchain out of extra wire to close the gaps left by my extracted 2nd premolars but if my 2nd molars are not 'bracketed' won't that leave a gap between them and the 1st molars when they move?

Does anyone else have this?

The first time I had braces and currently, I only have molar bands/brackets on the first molars.

I forgot to ask my ortho the reason they don't include them in typical treatment, at my last appointment.

I believe the molars take a lot of pressure to move and they act as anchors for the most part.

Sometimes they may not decide to move them and the option it to move your teeth BACK towards the molars, my molars are coming forward as I have the empty space from a root canal gone bad, so they are moving my last molar forward so that my wisdom tooth can errupt properly (its in a good position but under my gum still) and pulling it forward to avoid needing an implant. It's always best to ask your ortho why they are doing some things instead of another method if you have concerns. I probably drive mine crazy but, at least I understand why she is doing things and it makes sense and puts me at ease.

I have brackets on all my teeth except my 4 wisdom teeth. My archwires currently end at my first molars. My ortho said that she won't connect the second molars until I have thicker wires. At my first adjustment (8 weeks post braces) she said that the second molars would probably get attached at my next appointment.

I queried this to my ortho today and he said brackets will go on all teeth including all molars as they need to be moved and aligned too.

Ahh ok interesting thanks for your help guys, my first adjustment isn't for 6 weeks, I know my first wire is very thin so perhaps they will be joined up next time, will wait and ask at the appointment and update after!

I have brackets on all my teeth except for the lower second molars. I didn't realize to ask why but I'm assuming because my lower teeth need more pulling back?

As I have the tops I have all teeth except the second molars. My third molars (wisdoms) were already extracted because they were impacted in 2002.
