Metal Mouth Message Board

Hey there all, I'm Bethany! I'm not yet a metal mouth, but that comes very soon, the middle of next month to be exact! I've needed braces for a looooong time, as I currently sport an overbite, crossbite, and crowded teeth. I currently work as a security officer and that pays enough for me to get braces, which I am SO EXCITED TO GET! I can't wait to meet you fine metal mouthed folk and it's going to be a fuuuuun two years.

I am not so sure about the "fun" part but it will definitely be worth it. I couldn't wait to get them on myself but after having them on for over a year, I can't wait for them to come off. I think you will find you are much better at keeping your teeth clean when you have braces. I can't stand having stuff stuck in my braces. It is very annoying and it is also hard to eat certain foods or they tell you to stay away from the hard stuff, like nuts. I can't wait to eat nuts again. I do eat popcorn but I am extremely careful.

It is great that you made the decision to get braces. I don't think you will regret it but I can't lie and say it's fun. I am glad I did it and I know I will be extremely happy when they come off. Good luck with your bracing next month!
