Hiya!

I got my top braces fitted 6 months ago, and just got my bottom ones fitted last week. I have had real pain as they put these "spacers" in my mouth so I can't bite down properly.

I found eating soft foods, or soup is good, and use the dental wax you were provided, (you've probably heard that 1 million times before) but also, I found some treatments called Orajel, or Kenalog helpful, they are both gels which you place onto the area of pain, to be pain free! Also, taking ibuprofen if the pain is real bad. :D

I hope you found this useful!

Equal parts tequila, fresh lime, and orange liqueur. Add ice. Shake. Apply liberally to oral cavity and swallow. Repeat. A lot more fun than ibuprofen...oh, and doesn't stain ligs, either.

Just started on 12Nov, so we're probably on similar timelines. Good luck!
