WHEN will they move :(

Hi everyone,
I'm a new member to this forum but I've been reading it for months now. I wanted to introduce myself, and let everyone know my story.

I've had em for 7 weeks now. Ceramic on top and metal on the bottom. I've also got bite blocks on my back molars because for the first two weeks my brackets were constantly hitting each other and breaking off (I have a crossbite, and a deep bite, AND an overjet- caused by thumb sucking!)

I haven't seen any change in the actual look of my teeth, even since my first tightening at 4 weeks. The wires have straightened out, so that's a good sign right??

I always hear people saying they saw changes within weeks, days even- so understandably I'm feeling really demotivated and like I'm going through all this for nothing (if you do get to read my blog, you'll understand this has been quite an emotional thing for me and I was really looking forward to seeing some changes) How long did it take till you all saw noticable changes??

It took several months for me to notice my canines rotating, but when they started to go, it was BAM! Which was cool but freaked me out at first. Now I've got a space being closed by power chain and I've not seen any changes yet, but they're moving a whole mess of teeth back and forth so I know I need to be patient. It's harder to see what's happening for my teeth because they are mostly fixing bite issues, but the cosmetic tweaks are a nice bonus.

7 weeks isn't long, especially if the major work is bite issues. Give it time. Take a picture once a week and after a month do a side by side comparison.

The picture thing is a great idea.

Im four months in and just starting to notice changes.

I was comparing photos from when I first got them on to now and lots of things have moved and rotated. I wouldnt have known otherwise if it wasnt for the photos.
