Hey everyone!

I'm getting braces on Saturday morning and I'm nervous! I haven't really spoken to family or friends about the decision because I am not looking for any negative feedback, I'm doing this for me!

I had braces when I was 12-15 years old the first time around. Like many people, I didn't wear my retainers, but I also had lip rings which messed up the orientation of some teeth, so I'm back in the chair as an adult. Unfortunately I was not a candidate for Invisaline, which I am a bit bummed about because I tried pushing for it at a few consultations. :( I'm told my treatment this time around will be around 24 months to fix my crowding and bite issues.

Happy to be joining the braceface club  (albeit a bit reluctantly). This seems like a really supportive community so I'm sure I'll stop by to gripe and help support others.

Welcome to the board! There are lots of us in the early stages of treatment too, so you can celebrate/commiserate with us.

I only shared news with my friends who also wore braces in the past. They were supportive. :D . I'm glad I did it.

Welcome to the club.
