Guy getting full metal braces - 2nd time at 28.

Hey everyone!
I'm getting braces on Saturday morning and I'm nervous! I haven't really spoken to family or friends about the decision because I am not looking for any negative feedback, I'm doing this for me!
I had braces when I was 12-15 years old the first time around. Like many people, I didn't wear my retainers, but I also had lip rings which messed up the orientation of some teeth, so I'm back in the chair as an adult. Unfortunately I was not a candidate for Invisaline, which I am a bit bummed about because I tried pushing for it at a few consultations.
I'm told my treatment this time around will be around 24 months to fix my crowding and bite issues.
Happy to be joining the braceface club
(albeit a bit reluctantly). This seems like a really supportive community so I'm sure I'll stop by to gripe and help support others.
