Hi, my name is Shay.

I have been visiting this site for about 7 months now, but this is the first time I have said anything. I have had my braces now for 4mths and 2 weeks. As of today I have decided that braces are a form of "cruel and unusal punishement" and I want them outlawed, with the removal of shining "bling bling" grill first. My doctor put on a new set of power chains on tuesday and I feel like someone is trying to pull my teeth out through the side of my head they are on the front 6 teeth to try to close my gap, with this pain the gap is looking pretty good to me, it never hurt me like this!!!! My painkillers are now my best friend.
Well hopefully these bad boys will be off by christmas of next year, I sure hope so otherwise i may have to start a petition for that "cruel and unusual" punishment act. I say if Bush can have his Patriot Act, I can have the "Brace are Cruel and Unusual Punishemnt Act". How come they never tell you how much this will hurt before you get them????
Failure is not falling, its staying there.

Hi from up North.

Really, I'm not laughing at your pain. Just your proposal for the braces ban.

Hope they're feeling better soon. :soremouth:

lol - it's definately a slow form of torture for some people, more than other's. I have been pretty lucky so far, apart from a couple bouts of pain after adjustments and a little bit of sensitivity, I've been fairy pain-free. However the benefits of the end game (nice, straight, attractive looking teeth) more than make up for the time we are braced up.

Welcome to the forum, btw deja. :D
