Serendipity:Blast Off...

Well here I am, years of wondering, couple weeks of deciding, one appointment made and one hour to be banded. The process itself was kinda boring, I was alittle scared about what I might see when I looked in the mirror. I found it really hard to imagine what I would look like with braces so to actually see myself in the mirror with braces is still kind of a shock. I am in a fair amount of pain, everything seems to get stuck in the braces and I am developing nice little sores in my mouth. My mouth feels really full - much like someone has just constructed a barbed wire fence in my mouth. Woke up during the night in pain, which I suspose is a good thing cause it means the braces are working. To be perfectly honest at this stage I am thinking if I never have to open my mouth again until these things come off I will be happy but what can you do - life goes on, suck it up and solider on. I will be posting photos soon - I plan to take a photo a week to mark my progress. If your wondering...no I don't regret this decision it feels great to be on my way and not wondering should I or shouldn't I - no turning back now.
