Anyway, I had my first real appointment with my new orthodontist yesterday and finally had my expander removed! I love being able to feel the roof of my mouth and truly taste my food again!

My name is Melisa. I am 29 years old, a mother of 2 boys, and an Army wife. I have been in braces since Jan 2004. I had a SARPE done in March of '04. I used to come to this site often when my braces were first applied, but then I moved and sorta lost touch with things. My adjustments were put on hold for a while when I moved and insurance in the new region didn't want to pay anymore. After fighting with them for about a year, they agreed it was necessary to continue my treatments (ya think?! lol).
