Hi, I've had my ceramic (upper) braces on for 11 days. Going good so far, but I have an issue with the arch wire. It which started out white/clear and now is peeling off and showing the metal in places. It wouldnt be so bad, but its spotting, and only happening on one side of my mouth. Will this wire be changed at my next visit and is there any thing to avoid this in the future?
I have regular metal braces but I have heard people talk about this. I guess only your first wire will have that coating on it and after it peels, it should be silver all the time?
Not sure - I know mine had wax on it to mark the mid-point, etc. - wonder if your covering has anything to do with that?
Anyhow - I've heard some people just went ahead and brushed it off so it didn't look spotty.
The future is no place to place your better days. ~DMB
