New and excited... 19f in Canada

#1 Post by Shredder »

Hi! I got my new metal mouth just about 42 hours ago...
I am still hurting a bit, eating soft foods, but I am so happy and excited to finally be on my journey to a perfect smile. I have wanted to get braces since I was 11, and now they are here! I have brackets called Damon 3s, they are small and half metal, half clear. My doc says I am looking at 24+ months for everything so I am glad that they aren't too noticeable. I am so glad to have found this site and this forum, because I realized yesterday that I really don't wanna "do this alone" lol. The small amount of postings I have read so far have made me laugh, learn, and just feel so much better about this whole process. A BIG Hello and Thankyou to everyone here, and I look forward to the future :D !!!!

THX to all the welcomers out there, and hello especially to the Canadians! I am glad to have a place to retreat to for info and support... no one else in my immediate family has been through braces. I am amazed how people open up to you in real life about their experiences as soon as they notice my new change. I can already feel myself getting used to having them there, but my teeth are still super sensitive! No junk food or fries for me right now  Ah well, all for the best!!!!

I agree, it's nice to have another canadian.

22 years old, Ontario

I've had mine on for a few months now. I think the worst of it was the horrible spacers. *shutter*

But's it's easy riding now. :) Not a pain at all.
