Newbie to the board, not so new to braces!

Hey all, my name is Jamie, 21 and I'm kind of new to this board! :) I was a member here about a year ago but it seems my name is no longer here, so I had to reregister.
I've been braced for over 2 years now, sadly. It's only a bad thing because I know it's going to be awhile before these suckers come off! I'm okay with it though because it's well worth it in the long run.

I have metal braces, top and bottom. I had surgery in April '05 to remove a canine and expose the impacted canine and let me just say that was a nightmare. I had actually posted the entire story of what happened on here back when it happened, so maybe someone remembers. The tooth is slowly making its way down and its the only reason my braces haven't come off yet :( So far though it is looking like its going to be awhile.

My sister is a new braceface :) So its pretty cool having 2 in the family now!

Here are some before/current pictures of my progress :)
Maybe I'll try to do one of those braces diaries, but things haven't been too busy over here! Just the ortho tugging on the stubborn tooth!

Great progress Jamie! I am a newbie, so I did not see your story. I suppose once the pesky tooth comes down, you'll be nearing the end of the tunnel.
