23 With Braces.

I've had my top braces since June of 2003 and bottom since October of 2004....I'm READY for them to be removed....Just wish my orthodontist felt the same way. 
I have this wisdom tooth that has erupted & is through the gum....Its pointy and every time I close my mouth, it pokes into the inside of my mouth.....Also, when when I touch the gum around the tooth, it hurts. What will they do when I go to the dentist about it next week!?
