Well, I think the answer is obvious - definitely BRACE. Im new to posting in this forum, allthough I have been reading everyones post for about the last two months. I had xrays done about a month ago and finally got another appointment yesterday to find out the verdict.
The ortho said it would cost about $5500 for my braces and on top of that i need 5 teeth removed as I have severe over crowding. I have a baby tooth and I think he said impacted canine, I also have a canine tooth that is in a row by itself (i think its called a fang) I have to have a consultaion with an oral surgeon to get the teeth pulled. I wanted to find out if any others have had a similiar experience with oral surgery, I cant get an appointment for a month and curious to know more.
The ortho said that they would pull out the baby tooth as well as pull out the impacted canine as he says this reduces treatment time rather than trying to pull it down, I can imagine this is very painful but i dont know if its better than just having the teeth pulled by the ortho and letting the tooth come down itself ( he said also an option)
Im going to have another ortho appointment in the next couple of weeks and see if they say something different. I have also noticed quite a few pics u guys have clear on top and bottom, but it seems orthos in oz dont seem to put clear on bottom and wondered if there was a reason for this as i would prefer clear top and bottom as Im 32 years old and have face to face contact with people everyday at work and would rather it be less noticeable.
Anyway, would love to here your replies, I have wanted to do this for well over 10 years but have always kept putting it off (plus i was training for an expensive career so this sort of stopped me until now) I have so many questions......
To Brace or not to Brace

Thanks for your replies guys, I dont think i have under bite or overbite, so hopefully when i have this appointment in bondi they might be able to say yes with all ceramic. I am single at the moment and was a little hesitant about getting it done, but it will look so much better when ive been thru treatment, plus i have a click in my jaw which would also be fixed. I guess all i can do is wait till i have had a few more appointments to find out what other orthos say about this canine, I would love to be bale to avoid surgery if i can
