Newly Braced Corporate Recruiter

Hi, I am a corporate Technical Recruiter that just got my top braces at the end of January and have the bottoms scheduled for the end of February. I finally decided to do something for myself and picked BRACES of all things! UGH! Originally I had to go in to get a tooth repaired (crown) that I cracked by grinding my teeth. That crown looked so nice and white that I was going to sign up for ZOOM whitening, since they were having a $$$$ special. I went home and thought..I really would like a nice STRAIGHT, white smile so why not braces FIRST...again UGH! OK...so far...I have been gobbing wax over the pointy bits in the back that keep jabbing my cheeks, otherwise my lips seem to be doing better. The salt water rinse is really helping to stem off sore spots (THANKS TO ALL OF YOU- that I have been reading about that suggested that treatment)
Now my questions, on my back right molar I am now hearing a small metal click when I whack it with my tongue????? Is my wire working loose already? The brackets around those back teeth don't seem to be loose.
My treatment plan according to the ortho is about 18 months and is supposed to help my SMILE and eventually alleviate some of my TMJ problems. Additional my hope is that by correcting my bite I won't crack anymore teeth. One thing I can say..having braces on has COMPETELY stopped my teeth grinding <grin>.
So, here I am trying to learn to eat again, the biggest problem right now is the spacers in the bottom making room for those bottom braces.
I am also on the Weight Watchers Diet and am having ALOT of trouble finding mushy high fiber foods, so if anyone has any suggests, PLEASE send them my way. I can't tell you how much I want a really crunchy salad right now.
