Fiberotomy

#1 Post by spogal22 »

My ortho has recommended to have the fibers in the bottom teeth severed to help prevent relapse (fiberotomy i think) along with the permanant retainer. I'd be interested in knowing if the doctors would recommend it also and how succesful this procedure is compared to going with only the permanant retainer. And how painful it is for anybody that may have had it done already. I'm 22 and had 2 bicuspids removed.

Hi,

I just posted a question on this subject last week. Do a search and you'll find Dr. J's reply.
