How to take pictures - help anyone?

#1 Post by cteri »

Can anyone tell me how all you people are getting such good close up and clear shots of your teeth? I mean how to actually take the picture, not post it on the site (that'll come later)!

Do you use a regular digital camera? Does you ortho take them for you with a special camera?

Thanks for your help anyone!

Well, there used to be a post here about that, but I can't seem to find it. Anyhow, yes, we use spams, put them in MACRO (close up) mode. That's usually a flower button on your camera. Turn OFF the flash, and go to a bright room, or go outside. Face a mirror. Aim the camera at your teeth, and look at the back of the digital camera in the mirror. Focus it in or out or back up or whatever is needed, and shoot.. :)
