Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I was hoping for a definitive answer on this one. Does baking soda and peroxide in toothpaste melt cement? That's what I've heard, and I've been staying away from baking soda/peroxide toothpaste.

Hi,

I am Clo and have been using toothpaste with baking soda in it for about
6 months without any problem what so ever. I had the most awesome
results with it. I however stopped using it, only because I can't buy it
anymore. It (Rembrandt toothpaste with baking soda) seems to be
withdrawn from the market. I posted about it in the section 'dental
do-dads'. Seems that Rembrandt is taken over by another firm, maybe
that has something to do with it. I searched for colgate with baking soda
and peroxide in it, without success up to now. I am pretty sure though it
is perfectly save to use it. However, don't shoot at me please if something
should come loose though ...

did you find that the baking soda and peroxide toothpaste discoloured your teeth? I found when I used it a few years ago (pre-braces of course), that my teeth seemed to turn a yellow colour... hmmm. Maybe it was another combination, but I'm pretty sure its the backing soda and peroxide toothpaste.
